Akira Yoshida
Akira Yoshida is a dancer whose backgrounds are Breaking and contemporary dance mixed wih theatre. Starting in the streets, he continued studying dance in SEAD, after receiving the main artistic grant of the government of Navarre. Since then, he has worked and collaborated with companies such as QuieroTeatro, Roberto Oliván Performing Arts, Hungry Sharks, Physical Momentum, Lali Ayguadé Company, Peeping Tom, Ceren Oran, Allen´s Line, Yoann Bourgeois, etc.
Akira has also worked in other projects such as Virgil Abloh´s last fashion show of Louis Vuitton, advertisement films for Just Over The Top (J.O.T.T.), Polaroid, etc.
He co-created the awarded duets “Hito” with Chey Jurado, and "Together To Get There" and “Gizaki” with Lali Ayguadé. He also created 3
solos; “Home” (2017) “Burial of the Bark” (2022) and "Oroimen" (2022).
Akira has also created "Dreaming Nowhere" for Cobosmika, "What Should We Do?" for B12, Performance Project for Arles, etc. and worked as choreographic assistant for Lali Ayguadé in Shelter for "Verve Company" and Sublimation for the "Korean National Contemporary Dance Company".
Currently he combines performances, workshops and creations around the globe.
